Terms of service

Last updated 10 October 2026. Please read these terms before you order. They apply to every use of ideavalidation.co.uk and every audit.

1. About us

ideavalidation.co.uk is run by Ultimate Vision Ltd ("we", "us"), registered in England and Wales, company number 14613662, registered office Office 4 Kingsway North, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead NE11 0JH, United Kingdom. Email: info@ultimatevision.uk.

2. Consumers and business customers

Some parts of these terms apply differently depending on whether you are a consumer (an individual acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession) or a business customer. Founders who order an audit for a business they run or plan to run are usually acting for business purposes. Where we say a clause applies only to one group, it is marked. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

3. The free Reality Check

The Reality Check is a free, rule-based tool that runs in your browser. Its output is generated automatically by published rules (see Method) from what you type. It is provided "as is", for general information only. It is not market research, not a forecast, not a probability of success and not professional advice. You should not rely on it as the only basis for any decision.

4. Paid audits

  • Survival Audit, £29: a written review of one idea covering AI buildability, commoditisation risk, named competitors and prices, moat, demand evidence and a margin stress test, with a verdict and the evidence that would change it.
  • Founder Action Pack, £79: the Survival Audit plus a suggested wedge and positioning, a 30-day customer test plan with scripts, and one 30-minute call.

Each audit covers one idea as you describe it, in English. A materially different idea is a new audit. Audits are prepared with the help of AI research and writing tools and are reviewed by a person before delivery.

5. Ordering and the contract

You order by completing the request form and, where online payment is available, paying through Stripe. Our contract with you starts when we confirm your order by email (a payment receipt alone is not acceptance). We may decline an order within 2 working days, for example if the idea is unlawful, harmful, outside what we can assess, or if we have a conflict of interest. If we decline, we refund you in full within 5 working days and the contract ends.

6. Price and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and are the full price you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. If a price on the site is obviously wrong, we will tell you before we start and you can cancel for a full refund.

7. Delivery

We aim to deliver the audit by email within 3 working days of confirming your order. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in England. If we will be late we will tell you and give a new date. If we are more than 10 working days late, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

8. Your right to cancel (consumers only)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel a service contract.

  • Because audits are delivered within days, we start work during the 14-day period only if you expressly ask us to by ticking the start-now box when you order.
  • If you cancel after asking us to start but before the audit is delivered, we refund you the price minus a fair amount for the work already done.
  • Once the audit has been fully delivered, you lose the right to cancel, because you asked us to start straight away and acknowledged this when you ordered.

To cancel, email info@ultimatevision.uk with your name and order details, or use the model cancellation form in Schedule 3 of those Regulations. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of your cancellation.

9. Our clear-verdict promise

In addition to your legal rights: if your audit does not give a clear verdict with the reasons behind it, reply within 14 days of delivery explaining why, and we will either revise it or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.

10. What an audit is, and is not

  • An audit is our opinion, based on information available to us at the time and on what you tell us. Markets, competitors, prices and AI tools change quickly, so findings can become out of date.
  • We use reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee that information from third-party sources is complete or accurate, and we do not promise any business result, including that an idea will succeed, fail, attract customers or raise investment.
  • An audit is not legal, financial, tax, investment, regulatory or other regulated professional advice. Get advice from a suitably qualified professional before acting on matters of that kind.
  • All decisions about your idea, business and money are yours.

11. Your responsibilities

You confirm that what you send us is accurate as far as you know, is yours to share, does not include anyone else's confidential information or personal data you are not entitled to share, and is lawful. You must not use the site to send spam or malicious code, try to gain unauthorised access, overload the service, or copy the site, tools or reports to build a competing service.

12. Confidentiality and intellectual property

  • You keep all rights in your idea. We keep it confidential, use it only to prepare your audit, and never publish it. We only publish anonymised examples with your separate written permission.
  • Many founders send us similar ideas, and ideas on their own are often not protectable. We may assess or work on ideas from others that are similar to yours, or that we develop independently; this is not a breach of these terms provided we do not use or disclose your confidential information.
  • We, or our licensors, own all rights in the site, the Reality Check, our methods, scoring rules, templates and the audit format. Once you have paid, we grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use your audit for your own business purposes, including sharing it with co-founders, advisers and potential investors. You may not resell it or publish it as your own work.

13. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

If you are a business customer: we will not be liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with any audit is limited to the price you paid for that audit. The implied terms in sections 13 to 15 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 are, to the extent permitted by law, excluded except for the duty to use reasonable care and skill.

If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Because our service is designed to help with business decisions, we are not liable to a consumer for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

The free Reality Check is provided without charge and, to the extent permitted by law, without any liability for decisions made on the basis of its output.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of third-party services, internet failures, illness or natural events. We will tell you as soon as possible and, if the delay is long, you may cancel for a refund of anything paid for work not done.

15. Complaints

If something goes wrong, email info@ultimatevision.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you placed your order applies to that order.

17. General

  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
  • For business customers, these terms are the entire agreement between us about an audit, and you have not relied on any statement not set out in them. Nothing in this clause limits liability for fraud.
  • Only you and we have rights under these terms. No one else may enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to another business that takes over the service, and we will tell you if we do.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

18. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. For business customers, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home country.
